Trafficking

Baseball and lollipops,
Football stars and cheerleader squads,
Basketball and the movies,
Everyone lives in make believe.

Snap, crackle and pop,
The girl next door was dropped,
knocked out, drugged up, into the trunk;
Sold for a price of a gum drop.

Drug trafficking and kidnapping,
girls are snatched for sexual acts;
Men and women cheer to the screen,
as they willfully ignore the obscene.

Who cares about our society
Or the people given to adversity,
As long as the entertainment is seen,
Those girls, are just a long lost dream.
