Springs Coming

Long lines intertwine,
Sunlit vines embrace the sky.
Blue light, sonic boom:
How beautiful, the vines bloom.

Beauty

Beauty:
Only skin deep.
Use and regard them not;
Disgusting individual.
Shallow.

Upon a Hill

Upon a hill, young men died
As battlefield ballistics clarified
When the afterworld breathed new life.

For upon that hill, a battle engaged:
Crimson colored pools
Drank the blood of the brave.

Rotted bodies became the terrain;
Their coffin, the earth where they lay.
Life exchanged for political gain.

The Ole Oak Tree

Shinning the ole oak tree,
in the middle of day,
trying to flee
a tsunami wave – times three!

Slipping, busting his knee;
damn blinding sun, he couldn’t see.

Now, the papers read,
"Service for the Man with Busted Knee".

Change

Clouds sweep over the mountains:
Hovering, preparing attack;
Avoiding all accountability,
Negotiating with none,
Grief lies within their path:
Explosions – transformation begins.

A New Year

A new year and a new day;
   time to pursue today
   with a new mind,
   that is positive each day.
Negative dismay;
   replaced with encouragement
       … each and every day.

Warning Signs

a law passes by
under a medical guise
    – these are warning signs
now when you speak, with free speech
you’ll end up in jail to die.

Uneasy Dreams

No sleep,
uneasy dreams;
stealing my sanity;
one step towards the mental ward
– Deranged!

Weak Smile

A handshake;
the unspoken words
are gesture that speak.

Yet,
eye contact
and a weak smile
creates discussions
of distrust.

Smoke

Smoke?
No joke;
    Mix with coke.

Up the nose
or in the lungs,
either way,
your done.

Don’t worry,
It’ll suck;
    Cancer just began.

Traitors

Traitors
speak in disguise;
Demoralize with lies –
citizens can no longer cry.

Sunshine

Sunshine;
Exquisite joy;
Birds swing and the bees sing,
Smiles flowing with tranquility.

Song Birds

Song Birds;
Creatures so sweet,
Singing to raindrop beats.
The melancholy day slips by;
Bright day.

Gingerbread Man

The Gingerbread man
Wants to start a ban.
For on every Christmas day
They eat him all away.

Peace at Last

Here I lie,
as my bride stands by,
in the grave where I died
from the poison she cried
day after day into my mind!
Finally, I can rest in peace –
thank G-d for padded coffin sheets!

Liberty to Lie

the united states
and her american dream,
    a public smoke screen:
        with her liberty to lie,
        it’s bondage until you die.

A River of Sparks

A soul in the heavens
     entwined with light,
          are the flowers of life.
A river of sparks
     and an angel of death,
          liberates ones breath.

Just Run

Marriage failing,
life curtailing
back to day one:
     fights,
     strife,
     no life!

By God, I better run!
     If I don't
         - I'm done.

Many Miles

The look in ones eyes,
and the tone of their speech
will create an image
of strength or defeat;

     belief in oneself
     and the demeanor they sing
          will go many miles
          to destroy all defeat.

Jim

My buddy Jim
is always sipping gin.
And when the lights goes out,
he grabs the pint of stout!
